Reading Notes: Santal Part B

 The Hyena Outwitted:

The Tiger: very mighty and influential, was the king of the jungle. All of the animals looked up to him and aspired to please him. He was not the most lenient man because he volunteered the hyena to be killed in an attempt to save himself.

The Hyena: was loyal to the tiger, did everything he asked him to do, but was eventually killed by the other animals because they tricked the tiger

The Jackals: Very smart, clever, good tricksters, were late to come see the king tiger but had a plan to fool the king by picking roots to suggest that they were late because they were looking around looking for medicine to help him

The Plot: Deep in the jungle, the animals have a dying king that wants to greet them one last time before he departs. The jackals are late and fool the king tiger into killing the hyena because they suggest it could save his life.

Hollywood Cast: The Tiger: Clint Eastwood, The Hyena: Norm MacDonald, The Jackal: Adam Sandler
