Reading Notes: Jewish Fairy Tales Part A

Reading Notes: Jewish Fairy Tales: The Rabbi’s Bogey-Man

Rabbi Lion: A very smart man, always thinking and trying to invent new contraptions. He gets a bad reputation because people in the town think he’s a witch or demon because at night he practices chemistry and they see blue and orange flames from his windows.

Rabbi Lion character strengths: hard-working, persistence, and intelligence

Rabbi Lion character weakness: gets in over his head on projects

Hollywood Idea: I think if this was made into a movie, I think Christopher Walken would play Rabbi Lion and The Rock would play the creature

Setting: Way back in the olden times when the sciences hadn’t been greatly explored yet. The concepts of chemistry and anatomy were still for the most part a big mystery.

Plot: I like how the Rabbi intends to build creatures that will help him perform daily tasks, but they end up causing destruction and wanting to make an army to fight the Jewish people.
