Reading Notes: Persian Tales Part B

 The Hemp Smoker’s Dream

The hemp-smoker: very funny, thinks he’s the most handsome man to ever walk the earth, has a dream that he is so handsome that he will travel to China and marry the King’s daughter.

The hemp-smoker character strengths: he is very persistent, enthusiastic and full of charisma. He is having a good time no matter what is going on around him. He is very friendly and able to make many friends along the way.

The hemp-smoker character weaknesses: the man is very intoxicated from the hemp, so he does not understand what is going on in reality.

The barber: There is no telling what the barber is thinking when the hemp-smoker sits down in the chair. The barber must have been very patient because the hemp-smoker was very intoxicated.

Hollywood Setting: If this were made into a movie, the hemp-smoker would be played by Snoop Dogg, the barber would be Adam Sandler and the King’s daughter would be Margot Robbie.

The Plot: I really like the adventure in this story, following the thoughts and ideas of a hemp-smoking man from getting a haircut to marrying a princess. The story was very entertaining and kept me engaged throughout its entirety.
