Feedback Strategies

 Feedback Strategies:

I think receiving feedback is very important in all areas of life. Receiving feedback allows people to learn and grow to become better. I liked in the Feedback Gallery the option of being curious and asking questions. I think that asking questions is a very good way to provide feedback to people without being negative towards their work. Also, asking questions may influence the writer to add more content to his/her story, helping to strengthen it. In the article, “Five Reasons to Stop Saying “Good Job””, I liked how the article talks about saying good job less in an attempt to reduce the number of kids who are “praise junkies”. It’s important to only reward people with praise when they do something worthy of praise. In, “Try Feedforward Instead of Feedback”, I liked the suggestion of helping people to become correct rather than making a point to prove that he/she is wrong. People mess up and make mistakes, so it’s important to help guide and educate them. People will respond better to a positive influence like that.
